Privacy policy

What ohkgo.games collects, why, and how you stay in control of it.

Updated:

In short

  • You can use most of ohkgo without giving us anything.
  • If you join, we keep your email address to sign you in and unlock member features.
  • We only send promotions, special events and member discounts if you agreed to them when joining, and you can stop them at any time.
  • You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from your account page.

Who we are

ohkgo.games is a free poker site: a heads-up poker game played with play chips, poker odds tools, and poker guides and news. Contact us about privacy at hello@ohkgo.games.

If you join

When you join or sign in, we keep:

  • Your email address and language, to sign you in and to write to you in your language.
  • Whether you agreed to promotion emails, with a record of the exact wording you saw, the page, the date and your country. Every time you turn them on or off, that change is recorded too. We don't keep your IP address with this record.
  • When you joined and last signed in.
  • Your country and your browser's language, taken from your connection when you sign in or visit while signed in, so we can send messages meant for your region. We keep only the country, never your IP address.
  • Messages we send you in your account, and whether you have read them.
  • Your 6-digit sign-in code, only in scrambled form and only until it's used or 10 minutes have passed.
  • Your Poker Hero Tower climbs, for the weekly rankings, and the records you keep in the Bankroll Management, Schedule Planner, Host Record and Dealer & Helper Record, so you can see them on any device.
  • Your settings and game progress, such as sound on or off, your odds table in the insurance calculator, your best Sit & Go finishes and a Tower climb you haven't finished.

A cookie called ohkgo_s keeps you signed in on this browser for up to 180 days. It's used only for your ohkgo account.

Emails we send

  • Sign-in codes, when you ask for one.
  • Promotions, special events and member discounts, only if you agreed to them. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and you can also turn them off on your account page.

Nothing kept in your browser

We don't keep your records or settings on your device. Members' records and settings are saved in their account; without an account, what you enter lasts only while the page is open. The only things in your browser are the sign-in cookie above (members only), the visit statistics cookies below, and copies of the site's pages so it opens quickly and works offline.

Visit statistics

To understand which pages are useful, we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to count visits, pages viewed, device type and approximate location, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.

Who processes the information

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and the member database, sends your sign-in codes, and forwards email sent to @ohkgo.games. It also processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • SendX sends our promotion emails. It receives your email address and language only if you agreed to promotions.
  • Google provides Google Analytics.

Partner links

Some links on ohkgo lead to partner websites, such as poker sites and training providers. They tell the partner that the visit came from ohkgo. Once you're on a partner's site, its own privacy policy applies.

Your choices

  • Stop promotion emails with the link in any of them, or on your account page.
  • Delete your account on your account page. This removes your email address, settings, consent records, ranking entries and saved records, and unsubscribes you from our emails.
  • Ask us what we hold about you, or to correct it, at hello@ohkgo.games.

How long we keep it

Your account information is kept until you delete your account. Records of code requests, used to stop abuse, are deleted after 24 hours. Sign-in sessions end after 180 days, or when you sign out.

Changes

If we change how ohkgo handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
